Krafting the Krispee
Made famous in rice cakes ever since the 1980s, puffed rice hardly needs an introduction. The “popcorn effect” makes each rice grain look like a small, featherlight piece of cloud, sent down from heaven to be processed into delicious snacks like Krispees.
They have been endowed with an extra dose of goodness in the form of added oat bran. Considered one of the most nourishing oat parts thanks to its elevated nutrient content, oat bran is a layer found just below the grain’s outer hull. Many also consider oat bran to be the tastiest part of this amazing grain, and we couldn’t agree more!
