Carob Extract

Carob seed comprises three main components: gum, polyphenols, and protein. This seed hydrolysate consists of small peptide molecules that can approach hair keratins' binding center more easily, and which penetrate the keratin fibers, improving hair softness, elasticity, gloss, and resistance.

Keratin hydrolysate promotes an increase in both brightness and softness. Studies have demonstrated that feather keratin hydrolysate deposits are located in the cuticle junctions of all hair types. These deposits are likely to contribute to the sealing of the cuticles.

Keratin hydrolysate peptides increase hair fiber hydration, and analyses showed that the sealed cuticles in the fibers were treated by the hydrolysates, resulting in a significant increase in brightness and softness.
