GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid)

GABA, or gamma-aminobutyric acid, is an amino acid, which naturally exists in the body and acts as a neurotransmitter in the nervous system. This amino acid can not be obtained directly through the diet, but through supplementation, or foods that model the action of GABA, such as fruits, vegetables, tea and red wine.
