Guarita, the Trail that entertains Barcelos

With several editions throughout the years, in which there were more than 500 participants and several foreign athletes, the Trail da Guarita goes through trails of Vila Cova e Feitos, in Barcelos, crossing the mountains of Guarita and Monte de S. Mamede – the names used to refer to the second highest orographic elevations in the municipality of Barcelos – and the Ribeiro de Sapogal.

As such, and besides its main sporting nature, this Trail also aims to publicise the excellent conditions of this land and the natural splendour of the Ribeiro de Sapogal. With both these features, this area is ideal for trail running and hiking.

-This year – which is a year of change – the “Trail da Guarita - BTM Edition” is betting on a new organisation and dynamic that will take advantage of the excellent work done previously and focuses on the future.

One of the changes of this edition is the strong collaboration of the Barcelos Treino Militar group.
