zero: SUGARS | FATS | CARBS
Eight Amino Acids. You’d almost think that that’s what the abbreviation EAA stands for. But of course, we all know better: the E stands for Essential!
Prozis Zero EAA combines eight essential amino acids, of which three are branched-chain amino acids or BCAAs, without any sugars or calories whatsoever. They’re the same amino acids that occur naturally in whey protein for example, but Zero EAA has them in precise proportions, with the three BCAAs in a tried and tested 2:1:1 ratio. And as the cherry on top, it comes in a wide range of spectacular flavors.
A different kind of AA meeting
A great number of athletes take EAA supplementation for the benefits it provides. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins, and these particular ones are called "essential" because the body can't produce them. That's why the body requires them to be supplied externally, via food or supplements.
Each serving of Prozis Zero EAA contains an accurately measured dose of each amino in the formula. The three BCAAs, L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine, are featured in a 2:1:1 ratio, meaning that it contains twice as much Leucine as Isoleucine and Valine. The importance of BCAAs lies in the way the body metabolizes them and the biological processes they trigger.
We hear you thinking: “Shouldn’t there be 9 essential amino acids instead of 8? Whatever happened to histidine?”. That’s simple, really: histidine isn’t included because it isn’t considered essential for fully-grown adults. Whereas growing children do not synthesize histidine themselves, adults do, and histidine is therefore also referred to as semi-essential.
