What you didn’t know about curry

To most people, curry is a flavorful gravy, usually featuring vegetables or meat. And to most everyone, curry is Indian.

What if we tell you curry is not an Indian creation? There is no word for ‘curry’ in the Indian language and you will not find curry powder stocked in Indian homes. Surprised?! Read on!

Curry started with the British colonialists. Since the early 1600s, the British have been using ‘curry’ as a generic name for spicy dishes with a thick sauce from any part of India. When the British went home, they tried to capture the essence of Indian cuisine by making their own spice mixes. They have blended different spices used in Indian cooking, like turmeric, ginger, fenugreek, coriander, red chilies, mustard or cloves, and eventually came up with curry powder!

Indian Chicken Korma

2 tbsps Prozis Zero Curry-flavored Sauce
2 tbsps olive oil
4 large boneless, skinless chicken pieces, cut into cubes
50 g ground almonds

100 g 0% fat Greek yogurt
100 mL water
25 g flaked almonds

Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan and cook the chicken pieces until golden brown. Stir in the Prozis Zero Curry-flavored Sauce, the ground almonds, the Greek yogurt and the water. Simmer for 15 minutes until the sauce is creamy and thicker. Divide the curry between bowls, garnish with flaked almonds, and serve with steamed basmati rice.

Water, Alcohol vinegar, Mango Purée, Thickener (Acetylated Distarch Adipate), Curry (3%) (Coriander (1.2%) Turmeric (0.75%) Salt, fenugreek, Pepper, Chilli, Cumin, Fennel, Nutmeg (0.09%) Caraway, Ginger (0.09%)), Apple Concentrate, Salt, Acidity Regulator (Citric Acid), Preservative (Potassium Sorbate), Thickener (Xanthan Gum), Chilli pepper, Flavouring, Sweetener (Sucralose) .

Instructions: Shake well before opening.

Bon

J’ai acheté cette sauce en même temps que les sauces ranch et César. Contrairement aux deux autres, celle-ci est excellente. Le goût est très bon et passe très bien avec différents plats. Très bonne surprise.

Just wow!!

For a sauce with no added sugar and a low calorie count, I can say this sauce is fantastic! Maybe even better than the classic sauces you can find in stores. It's a little thinner, but I don't mind that. I recommend it 100%!
