Resveratrol is a polyphenolic compound with healthful benefits, that can be found in red wine, the skin of red grapes, blackberries, and to a lesser extent also in peanuts. The active and most studied form of this substance is trans-resveratrol, while the variety of cis-resveratrol, that also displays biological activity, has not been studied as extensively.
